Regional Broadcasting Day Seminar
On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, the Faculty of Administration and Humanities, Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi (FIAH UMMI) held a Regional Broadcasting Day Seminar (Hasiarda), taking place at the UMMI Auditorium. FIAH Ormawa, Students in the FIAH Environment, and Faculty staff.
With the theme 'Increasing Broadcasting Human Resources in the Political Year', this event is a series of roadshows for seven cities held by the West Java Communication and Information Service (Diskominfo) in collaboration with the West Java Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID). The opening ceremony began with remarks from Mr. Roni Tabroni, S.Sos., M.Si as the Institutional Coordinator, where in his remarks, he hoped that the younger generation would know how important the impact of broadcasting institutions is in this political year. Followed by Warek 1 UMMI Mrs. Dr. Yuni Sri Wahyuni, ST., M.T., IPP., said that hopefully, the campuses can help condition a healthier political situation, namely correct and on target. And the last remarks, as well as the official opening of the seminar by Mr. Faiz Rahman, S.TP., M.Ap, as the Head of the West Java Diskominfo IKP Division. Acting as the keynote speaker, namely Mr. Rahmat Sukandar, S.Sc., M.T., M.Sc as the Head of the Sukabumi City Communication and Informatics Service representing Mr. H. Achmad Fahmi, S.Ag., M.M.Pd. (Mayor of Sukabumi).
The seminar presented three speakers, namely Mr. Ellang Gantoni Malik, S.e., Ak., M.M as the West Java KPID PS2P Coordinator, followed by Mr. Alit Suwirya, ST, MBA as Director of Bandung T.V., and Mr. Rizki Hegia Sampurna, M.A., Ph.D. from academics as the Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Humanities UMMI.
In his presentation, Mr. Ellang Gantoni Malik, S.e., Ak., M.M. explained that KPID has important duties and functions in broadcasting good content. Meanwhile, Mr. Alit Suwirya, ST, MBA, explained that broadcasting during the 2024 election period is a momentum to choose leaders who align with the community's expectations from various sectors.
This activity ran smoothly, and it is hoped that it will provide insight to students on how we behave in presenting good content and absorbing quality and useful broadcasts.
