Internasional Webinar : ‘The role of civil society in affecting child wellbeing and child inequalities in East Asia
On Monday, August 12, 2024, the Children and Youth Thematic Group of the Human Development-Capability Association hosted an international webinar, commencing at 4:00 PM WIB (11:00 CET/10:00 GMT). The webinar featured two distinguished speakers:
1. Dr. Mariaclaudia Cusumano (University of Milan-Bicocca), presenting research on "Access to Food Resources and Physical Activity for Young Children in Contemporary Cities."
2. Rizki Hegia Sampurna, Ph.D. (Dean of FIS UMMI), discussing "Economic Empowerment for People with Disabilities at Budi Nurani Special Needs School (SLB) in Sukabumi City."
This webinar focused on critical issues related to civil society's role in addressing disparities and enhancing child welfare in East Asia. Inclusive decision-making enables civil society to influence local governments in providing public services using inclusive structures, reaching vulnerable segments and fostering better lives for children in East Asia.
